At twenty past three I went in, took the phone off the night table without looking at the bed, and came straight back out. One clip.

The R is my voice. I know what my voice sounds like on a waveform better than I know my own face. It's a bit hoarse, and it's the same voice as in every other clip since January.

I didn't hear anything through the door. I was listening the whole time.

I'm going to sit here until it's light. The phone is on the table, face down.
