Easter Sunday. I invited Jonas and Hanna for lunch. Finally, the two of them in one room.

Hanna cancelled at eleven. Something came up, she's so sorry, next time. That's the third time she's cancelled when Jonas was coming. I'm starting to think she's shy.

So it was me and Jonas and too much food. He was nice about it. Then, over coffee, less nice. He said I look tired. He said I talk about the book "like it's a person." He asked how much I sleep.

I said enough.

He asked what Hanna does, exactly. I explained: history of statistics, research. He asked where. I realized I don't know the name of the institute. It never came up.

"Frag sie mal," he said. Ask her.

I will. It's not a big deal. People don't talk about their employers on dates.

He also asked about the building. Still nothing from Spreeblick, three months after our objections. Frau Pohl says silence from a landlord is either very good or very bad.
