The winter finishes tomorrow, but Vic does the whiteboard on the last Saturday because Sunday at Bronte is a zoo.

This morning he got it out of the boot of his car and stood it up against the railing and wrote the names in his capitals. Five old fellas. Then NOREEN. Then KIRRA.

Lorraine brought a thermos and a lemon slice. Somebody took the photo. Kirra sent it to her mum in Dubbo, who'd told her in April that she wouldn't last a fortnight of a Sydney winter. Her mum wrote back a row of crying faces, and then Kirra did a bit of crying in the car park as well, and I'm not saying who else.

She's put in to stay on at the station here instead of transferring home next year. I think the whiteboard had something to do with it. She says it's the coffee.

Me 449.1. Bridie 140.0, as of the end of August. Lachie says her pin is in Ayrshire, which is in Scotland, among the cows.
