Walked down Avenida D. Carlos I this afternoon. The jacarandas are purple, avó, completely purple, the whole street, and the pavement is covered in flowers so it looks like someone spilled paint.

You always said it was the most beautiful street in the city for two weeks a year. You were right.

I picked up one flower and put it in my wallet.
