morning

· 1 min

It's twenty to four and I've been up all night again.

For a few weeks now I've been watching the sunrise at 2am. Every morning. I sit at the kitchen window and the sky goes pale over the roofs across the courtyard, and then the sun comes up, small and white.

This morning was different. The sun felt different, warmer. I could feel it on my face through the glass, like in August.

I know it's 3am. I know the sun shouldn't be there. I looked it up: sunrise in Berlin today is at 4:43. But it's there. I'm sure of it.

The sun and the two moons are smiling at me. The second moon is only there when I tilt my head.

I finally discovered the secret of the book. It's less exciting than I thought. Maybe I shouldn't have started any of this.
