saturday
Saturday. Two days.
Went down to the Rema on the corner at four for coffee and the shutter was down, lights off, a note on the door I didn't stop to read. Stocktaking or something. Got coffee at the petrol station by the roundabout instead, 52 kroner for a small bag, which is the most I've ever paid for coffee and I didn't care.
The church bells went for a long time at eleven. A funeral, maybe, or a wedding. I couldn't tell from here.
No knock. No knock on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or today. I've stopped standing at the door. I just look up at the time when it's about now, and then it isn't, and I carry on.
Kjell says the sky's going to clear. I've packed the thermos. First cabin on Monday, up to the ledge, like I said in December. I want to see it before the town does.
