with the ø
Twelve days.
Fran rang yesterday. Pellam have given in. The English edition will be called Mørketid, with the ø, and a line on the cover that explains it. Ragnhild's reply, by text, in capitals: "GOOD. NOW FINISH MY BOOK."
So tonight we celebrated at Ølhallen. Ragnhild, Hege, me, and Kjell, because I asked him and he put on a tie.
It turns out Kjell and Ragnhild went to the same school, four years apart. They spent an hour arguing about a geography teacher called Fru Hansen, whether she was cruel or just from Bergen, and Kjell did an impression of her that made Ragnhild cry laughing into her beer. Hege drove them both home. I walked.
It was the best evening I've had here. I didn't think about the door for four hours.
This morning, 11:51. I opened it and said hei. Then I went back to page 540.
I have the phone in the drawer at night now. I don't sleep more, but I don't know how much less.
