quitsato
Saturday. Drove to Quitsato, near Cayambe, where there's a big sundial built right on the equator, a giant circle of stones with a pole in the middle.
A young man there explained it better than any professor. The pole's shadow tells you the time and the season. At the equinoxes, at noon, it has no shadow.
The Garmin said the sundial is very close to the line. I felt jealous of a pole.
Paralelo peed on the edge of the circle. I apologised to the young man. He said it happens.
