the trees
Tuesday. Tomáš closed the shop at three, which he never does, and we took the bus out to the dam.
At the fork past the ferry stop we went left, up through the trees. I showed him the bench with the badly carved heart. He said it was terrible craftsmanship. I said Pavel and I used to sit there. He said, "Then it's a good bench," and we sat on it.
Tonight I started the last one, The Festival of Insignificance. It's very short. I'm reading it slowly on purpose.
