Laughable Loves is finished. Very funny if you are not married to one of them.
After the market this morning I went looking for the old Czech edition from Toronto, and found a small antikvariát on Údolní street that I had never noticed before.
The owner is about my age. When I came in he said, "Welcome back, paní Veselá." I have never been in there in my life. I suppose I have one of those faces.
His name is Tomáš and he does not like Kundera. "He left," he said. We argued, but only for about ten minutes, because he seemed to know what I was going to say before I said it. He was right every time, which was annoying.
He gave me a discount anyway. "For the entertainment. Again."
